Why is matte section on my toolbar thing? [ANSWER]

Hi, Im just using the demo but I've put some media onto it with a green screen except I can't do the green screen 'cause there is no matte section. And how do I split my media?

Chromakeying (including the Matte toolbar) functionality is only available in CompositeLab Lite and Pro, and VisonLab Studio. Use the small "knife" from the toolbar to split your footage. Let me know if this solves your problem.

I may be wrong but I seem to remember seeing a tutorial about it and it said to select the matte section except i dont have one. And I cant work out how to use the kinfe. Sorry to be a bother.

What Redhawksymmer is saying is that you are using the demo of Effects Lab but asking about a feature from Composite Lab so you need to download a demo of Composite Lab.

As for the knife tool just select it from the tool bar then click on the clip on the timeline where you wish to split it.
