Hey i've seen videos with people jumping and then flying off the screen, and I think its some kind of compositing, but i'm not sure. Does anyone wanna explain or show me where i can find a tutorial?

theres a tutorial here but it only works with composite lab

the greenscreen can usually be remplaced with a video of the same thing without the actors if its simple enough

but still composite lab is need

Oh good maybe its the same concept for all keying programs I have vegas for my sound effects but maybe that'll work too.

Yep, the basic principles involving the key are the same no matter what program you are using. As long as you understand the concepts involved in the process, you should be able to transfer that tutorial to Vegas without too much difficulty.
