Just wanted to check this. Do I need to completly uninstall fxlab before installing the latest upgrade? If so, do I need to backup my downloaded fx packs, or will these remain intact after reinstalling the new version?

VisionLab 1.5 uses a slightly different structure for its preference and database files which means they are stored in a different place. Unless you need to keep using your older version we would recommend uninstalling it before moving to 1.5.

There is no simple way to keep your old preset unless you still have your old FXpreset_pack files in which case you can just re-install the presets once 1.5 is installed.

We hope you enjoy the software.

Thanks for the info.
I have done a clean re-install of the new version.
For anyone else who may be interestead.I tried importing some of the presets from my previous instalation, but this will not work. Visionlab will not recognise them once they are decompressed. I had to re-install these using the full packs which you download from the website. I did make some of my own presets which luckily I had exported, so was able to re-install these also.
It may be a good tip for other users to remember. You can't simply drag or import the presets from the old folder, they have to be the original
compressed pack from the website.

I love the new look and the new features. Just going to take some time to get to know these new goodies and how they work.

Well done FXTeam!
