At the weekend I upgraded my existing Comp Lab Pro / Effects Lab Pro package to Vision Lab (delivery option with free VideoWrap). I know I can download this straight away but it is a Christmas present so I have to wait a few weeks. In the meantime I was going to continue using CL and EL and went to upgrade them to the latest versions but they have disappeared from my available programs options on the download screen - there is only VisionLab.

I understand that I have upgraded rather than buying an additional licence so I don't get continued support etc on the older programs but am a but gutted as I could have downloaded the new versions first them upgraded and I would be using CL/EL 1.5 in the run up to Christmas. I also have a number of half finished projects with files saved in CL/EL whch presumably I can't now open in VisionLab.

By ordering the delivery boxed version of the program I had assumed that the point at which I upgraded my programs (and VL took over from EL/CL) would be when I installed from the boxed cd and not at the moment my card was debited. I am not trying to continue to use all 3 programs long term, I just need EL/CL until my current movies are finished. I don't want to have to redo everything in VL. Any suggestions as to how to resolve this?

Thanks

VisionLab can open your old files just fine. Also the version on the CD is older than the version on the website so it would be best to just get the latest installer here.

Vision Lab opens CLab Pro and ELab Pro files? smile You guys rock, you just think of everything.

Now I just wonder if I can get away with installing VisionLab before Christmas without my wife noticing? I'll let her pack the box away when it arrives and keep my screen minimised when she's in the room...
