Recently, I imported an video file into the program. I put a mask around some objects in the video. And now I want to render it, but I also want to put in a background color. How exactly do I do this?

If this is for keying purposes later on, you are better off to export with an embedded alpha channel, rather than adding a background color.

If this has nothing to do with keying later, import an image containing whatever color you want for the background, and place it on the timeline as the bottom layer.

The alpha option is probably the best bet, but you can import an image with the desired color and place that behind your masked layer.
