Ok you know old cameras, i need an overlay of like the sorta black flickering stuff, because i'm making a WW2 movie, and i need it for that because you get a view from like what you'd see from a camera in those days, its kinda like a phony documentary biggrin If anyone's seen pearl harbor, i need an overlay like that guy who was filming the planes and like some of the battle before he got killed off. If anyone can help me, thanks! biggrin

Quicktime can do this, under the filters menu when you export or convert a video, convert to B+W then add film grain, you can set hairs and noise.

Or if you are rich, buy cinelook, does the same thing but much better.

Cinelook is an after effects plugin, don't know if it works in premiere, the quicktime one is in the pro version.

From quicktime choose -Export

in the export box choose movie to quicktime movie then through the options button you can set filters which includes the film grain option...

one or two words, i don't know GEETHREE SLICK film effects old video effect in them they are very good to look very real only for imvoie though so if your not using it sorry but up side its only 50$ i just converted them to premiere effects hope this helps here is a web site where you can buy them

I found a lens flare (it's preety ropey) but I can't see fire, loads of colour adjustment filters....
