How do you manually move and resize the ball? I clicked on the "origin" and "scale" row on the left lower left side of the screen, but they do nothing...

What effects engine are you using for the energy ball?

what you want to do is click on "emitter attributes". the emitter will appear on the canvas as well as all the attributes on the right-hand side. click and drag the emitter to move it. the scale control will be on the right side.

Hi,
I'm new to effects lab pro. I'm glad I found this topic, I was going a little crazy!
I'm working with the magic fireball and have moved the origin. How do I move the tail position from say, the right side to the left? Hope this makes sense.
Kind Regards,
Jerry

Well it should animate it self. What you want to do is say..

On the first frame have it in one postion then the 3rd or more move the emitter attributes along to your next postion then when your done play it back and the fireball should move. Also it depend what effect your using, The creator of the effect may not of put a tail of smoke etc when moved. If you want a tail find a different fireball and test it
