I've taken 'power comet' onto the canvas and set the in point and end point...so far so good..a bright white trail with cyan blue outer...Although it says Smoke in the Texture box (and I have also imported smoke 1 and smoke 2 textures...I still can't see ho I get smoke to come on the comets tail..?

or to find a good fire trail...

basically I'm trying to recreate the comet in the tutorial without much luckk

by the way I'm new to the programme!

All help appreciated.

If you change the colour scheme of the particles so that they turn grey at the end of thier life (like hair) smile you can get the smoke effect.

The power comet is not able to have smoke I will try to add a comet I made to the preset library which you can download (if you own eLab)
the comet I made has fire and smoke.

Hope it helps.

The "Smoke" label you are seeing is just the name of the texture files used to create the comet effect. There is no smoke included in the comet preset (comet's don't make smoke). If you want to add smoke to it, It would be best to create the smoke as a separate particle effect, and position it so it is emanating from the comet's tail.
