Hi. When the Effects Lab first opens up and gives the option to "select video clip", I do that. How ever, after selecting the clip it takes me back to that same box asking the same thing again which has the options of QUIT, NEW, or OPEN. If I hit NEW, it's an endless cycle. If I hit OPEN, I also have to go in and reselect the file again.

So far, to remedy this, I have been going in to a blank time line and importing media. It's the only way it works. Any ideas on why it's doing this?

I just discovered that even though it says the file does not exist, if I open the Media tab, the clip is in there, and I am able to drag and drop it to the timeline. I also tried to open another previously used clip, and got the same message.

im on a mac. don't know how to do all that. I have done a reinstall, and actually just did the update. I'm not sure why my info line for these forums does not display that apple symbol. I input all my info in the profile page...

Go to My Account, click on the Forum Settings, and tick the MacOS user icon box at the bottom for an apple icon.

Did you follow the clean re-install instructions and delete all the preferences files and such when you re-installed?

What kind of footage are you trying to import? Perhaps its incompatible with EffectsLab.
