Hey all.

I am using an older version of Vision Lab (not sure wich one) and havent used ti with my DVX100 yet. Well, when I import either 24p or 24pA footage, interlacing shows up for two frames every five frames. This doesn't happen in Premiere or AfterFX, just in Vision Lab. I'd like to know if anyone else has this problem, and there solutions to it, since I need to use VLS on my next project (i would use muzleplug but i cant afford a $140 plugin that only does muzzleflashes.)

Thanks for any help,
Dory

The newer version of vlab works with 24 fps. To download it, go to http://fxhome.com/account/downloads
You'll have to register your version of vlab first though.

i downloaded the installer, but now whenever I try to render it freezes and tells me it has encountered and needs to close (gives me the eror report window).

Any insight to that?

Was the project you were working on a big file before you tried to render it? Or maybe what were you trying to render as a file was too large. Whet type of system do you have?

P.S.
The newer version of vlab looks a lot different in the program from the older versions. All the colors, pictures, and textures of the program are different, and it should have two other tools; the lightning and the laser engines. When you installed it, did it have these new features? If it doesn't, you're still using the old one.

Yeah it is the new one, Its got the lightning and the laser engines. The input file is huge, like maybe a few GB. For the most part tho the output file is only a few seconds.

What format is the original file in, and what format are you rendering to? Also, please register your software to receive support. Its best to make sure your Quicktime and Directshow (if you are on windows) are up to date as well.

You may want to render a small, simple project to see if that's the problem.
