Has anybody seen the movie final fantasy? I think an excellent plug in would be some holographic computer screens, just like the ones in final fantasy. Another "request" for something I haven't seen yet is snow. Could anybody make a plug in of snow falling?

You could make snow falling, but unless you didn't want it to make sense, it'd be useless. Because if it starts to snow with no snow on the ground... or if there IS snow on the ground, then why not wait a day or so for it to snow again for a realistic look? Either way, it couldn't hurt to have in the plugin section.

the snow plug-in could be quite useful - much like the rain one, if u use that - stuff doesn't get wet does it???
could be very useful, if u wanna film in the snow, with out real snow falling (ie falling into camera, ZZZZZZZZZZ BEEP *boom*
final fantasy screen, could be useful - but they would all look the same, which would be dull...

I think a snow plug-in would be pretty useless because snow acumulates on things and it would look kinda weird to have a actor in a snow storm and not have flakes stick to him/her. Just a thought

I think a snow plugin would be very usefull for short scenes..could have multiple versions...gentle,medium,blizzard!
I live in NorthEastern Ohio and I wouldn't want to take my equipment out in the real thing...no way!

Yeah, snow would be cool, but the uses would be limited. Though I guess that goes for all plug-ins, doesn't it?
And as for just waiting for a snowy day - I live in New Mexico.
It snows three times a year here, usually at 4 am, for at most twenty minutes, and I only have till about 11am till it's all melted.
So, yeah, I'd be down for a little artificial snow.

Snow and rain plugins I should imagine are most useful for views out of windows. So say you have two characters sitting in a room, you can have it snowing lightly outside the window. You don't need to see the ground or it settling on objects.
Actually, it'd be nice to have a specific rain plugin for rain going down a window.

Probably falls under the "best when it's real" catagory. A hose and a sprinkler head is all you really need to put raindrops on a window.

I believe that certain plug-in packs for After Effects e.g. 'Delirium' contain snow effects. I haven't tried them myself tho... too expensive! You might want to give 'em a go...

For all out there who say the snow plugin was useless because of accumilation, it's best put that there is also a rain plugin, yet no puddles would accumilate... What about the times in the winter when there already is snow, but it isn't snowing that day? Then snow would be on the ground, and you could use the effect. Besides, if you don't like it, don't download it.
