I can download the pre sets, but can't get them accessed into the program.

There currently are no downloadable presets for the After Effects Plug-ins. The presets in the library only work with the Lab products.

Axeman,

I recently got After Effects CS3 and have not yet become familiar with the program but from a glance, it does not have a particle engine or neon engine built in like FXlab Pro does. If it does, I don't see it. I was wondering if there are presets for different particle effects etc like FXlab Pro and where to download them. OR is the only way to get these effects in AE to download/buy plug-ins? I am confused smile

I believe there is a particle generator built into After Effects, but I'm not familiar with the ins and outs of it. This particular forum is a support forum for these FXhome products:

http://fxhome.com/muzzleplug/

http://fxhome.com/powerplug/

They are essentially the Muzzle Flash engine (MuzzlePlug) from EffectsLab and VisionLab, and the Lightning Engine (PowerPlug) from VisionLab. The Neon Light and Particle engines have not been converted to AE plug-ins at this time. There are particle engines already available that are much more powerful than Penguin, and as to Neon Lights, this tutorial by Ryan Weiber will get you creating very realistic lightsabers in no time.

At this time, there are no downloadable presets for the After Effects Plug-ins, although you can create your own and save them. There are quite a few good ones that come with the plug-ins (I hope. I spent quite a while creating many of them), so hopefully they can fill your effects needs.

Hopefully I answered your question, if you have any others, let me know.

Hey thanks for the reply. Since I have effectslab pro and composite lab pro I dont think I would need the muzzle plug but I may consider power plug later. I just have to see what AE can do but right now I like FXhome products better. I figure if there is something that they can't handle I can turn to AE. Thx again
