Hi,
I'm hoping theres a solution to this!

I was forwarded a link to your plu-in section. I tired to downlaod a plug-in, but wasn't allowed to dowload on account of not having a serial number.

Thing is, VisionLab has recently been purchased by the college I attend, and as such, I myself do not have any of the regsitration information for the program.
On the other end, for security reasons, the college security system disables any form of downloading as an anti-virus precaution.

The only way we can get plug-in downloads (for anything) is to do it at home, then take them in any install them ourselves.
But the way your download system works, it won't allow me to do it.

Is there a solution to this? Theres a couple I could really do with.

Thanks.

Welcome to FXhome !!

I assume that you are referring to presets for VisionLab as opposed to Alam DV2 plugins (which are pretty much just stock footage).

Unfortunately not.

The best bet would probably be to ask your teacher/lecturer/whoever to download and import it for you.

Try asking your teacher/lecturer to give his pupils the FXhome account information with the software and liscencses on it to his pupils. ie name and password. That way all the pupils can use that account and download presets.

If your teacher uses those details in his personal life, just ask him to change the name and password.

Hope that helped.

Absolutely not. If the teacher did that we would revoke his licenses and the school would no longer be able to use the software.

Just ask the teacher to download what you need. Simple.

How would that revoke his licence. I am not saying for them to install the software, I am just saying for the teacher to supply the account details so they can download presets at home and bring them in on flash disks ect.

Is that against the license agreement to share an account or something?

By providing your login details to anybody else you are providing them with access to your product key, hence you are breaking the license agreement. Your account details are exclusive to you and should not be shared.

Equate it with sharing your bank login details. You wouldn't do that, would you? smile
