More blood and meat! You've exploded a dog against the wall, but only got a few splatters.

Excellent though, I'm assuming this is for a viral?

Heh, this looks classic. And it actually made me giggle - which I'm sure if it's a good sign about my humour...

I didn't just giggle of this. I laughed. My dad asked what I was watching and he began laughing too...

It runs through the family.. We laughed when we watched Resident Evil and Aliens too.

That looked really good. Where did you get the blood on the wall stock footage?

lol, that made me jump. Then laugh. Did you reverse the first part of the footage or something? Sounded like you were saying "Stay there" backwards...hmm...

Very convincing though. A bit disturbing as well. smile

no, no reversing was done at all, it was two audio layers overlapping, i forgot to delete one before i rendered it out. i'm glad it made you laugh, thats what i was after. lol

the blood was from video copilot, i adjusted the contrast and brightness to make it match the overall look, the background "spatter" was just an image i pulled off of google, i got rid of the white background using the multiply filter. i've still got the image if you want it, just let me know.

One thing you need to add is have some bone debri from the explosion fall or be on the ground or someting. Other than that nice job. (Not enough blood.)

Good job, but watch out for PETA. I hear they're against the depiction of hurting animals now. wink

Heh, that was pretty grim - but kinda funny in a disgusting way! Just from the topic title I knew this had to be classic!

But anyway, I think it looks quite good, although you could up the disgusting-ness by adding a bit more meat chunks and stuff, as prdg said.

(Taken away from it's context, this is probably the strangest post I've ever posted.) razz

Oh wow, I was like: "when is it??" al of a sudden he blows up, i had to watch it several times, the visual part of it was fantastic, I'm a fan of stuff blowing up like that, but you forgot to put a synched splat sound for the blood and parts. So how'd you do it??

I forgot to mention that it has Very good quality, you don't see the camera move, no stop frame, etc... so nmot only was it a good result but you prepped your tools, angle, and all around environment very well. Kudos man

I thought that was great (though I would liked to have seen some more chunks and spatter sliding down the wall afterwards!).

I love the way some of the FX Homers have been grossed out by it too. It was very tame (gore-wise) when taken against many modern action SFX movies and tongue in cheek funny too. If you want you should gross check our Zombie Flesh Eaters (Zombie in the US) or City of the Living Dead - gross is forcing an actress to regurgitate sheep entrails on camera...

i shot a clean background plate, then shot of my dog sat in place. i made a still frame of my dog just before the bang, that way i could mask it out to show the head roll. i placed it all together, placing the blood stock over the top, taking care to adjust the contrast and brightness to match the scene, then finally added the splat on the wall ( i added an expanding mask to this too)

Poor doggy! LOL

I did something similar to a squirrel, except he turned into a bushy tailed ball of fire.
