James Cameron's had an increasingly high profile over the last couple of years, as he heads towards the completion of the tech-breaking Avatar - his first film in over a decade, which also marks a long-overdue return to the science fiction genre. He's been talking to Variety about the 3D technology he's been evangelising and helping to develop for the last ten years, revealing why he's so obsessed and where he sees the future of cinema.

I caught it. smile You're the only person I know on the forums who watches Entourage.

Anyone who sees this post: you should love it, it's quality HBO television about the film industry. Start from the beginning and watch it through, it's a very character driven show.

Nice article. Can't wait to see a "normal" drama film in 3-D one day. Watched Beowulf in 3-D, and after seeing that, I could probably see (almost) any film in 3-D.
