Explosions are best done using stock footage of real explosions.

You can find stock footage at detonationfilms or from our webshop at http://www.nccinema.ch/eshop.html

Yeah that does work for effects lab.

What you want to do is go to Downloads - Alamdv2 Plugins - Explosions - Ground explosion 10 - Unzip folder with a unzipper (Download free unzippers from google) - Go effects lab pro - Import image stream - Click on your effect - Click images - Click V1 or whatever V(Something) it is - Then use the animate tool to move it around

No its completey free. Every stock footage on this website is free.
On Nccinema's website its £15 for a pack of bullet hits etc

There are lots of stock explosions in that area of the site, and they are all free.
