There are some for VisionLab, and you're not going to see them for EffectsLab as none of the engines can really handle realistic lightning.

If there's something about the currently available VisionLab presets that isn't working for you, perhaps you could be more specific in your request, about what it is that you would like to see different?

You could use some alamdv2 plugins.

Most of them look real cool.

Hey there.

I recently did a tech demo where my friend had shards of lightning running up and down his arm. It was done in effectslab and I'm working on extending the length at the moment so I can post it as a pre-set. I should hopefully have something half decent this weekend to upload. Wouldn't take too long to add to and play around with but not sure how it would look if you wanted to stretch them out far.

Check out my vid http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=vEwOXFNVt-Y at about 0.30 secs in and you'll see what I mean. It also shows some modding I did with the lightsword engine and how I *tried* to emulate lightning.

Hope that helps, let me know if the lightning arm bit would be useful!

Thanks very much! smile

Yep I was working with the demo version of FX home which I've since bought. So I really ought to go back to that and work on it properly now I have the full version.

Also I realise that I've probably got the strands of electricity moving a bit too fast so I may slow them down somewhat. I plan on using this effect quite heavily in my next feature unless I can cough up an extra 99 quid for Muzzle Plug.

Oh okay, I was a little worried it may have been going too fast. Well getting the money quick would be cool, but "quid" is a slang term for pound in the UK.

So I need to cough up an extra 99 pounds... quick! smile
