Hello All,

I have been trying to create a depth of field effect using a blur filter over the whole image and then placing a mask over the figure in the shot to keep him in focus. Problem is that I try to use the mask on the original movie file and it just cuts him out totally, when I just need for him to be unaffected by the blur.....any ideas?

Alternately, use a grade object to create the blur, and apply the mask to the grade object.
