Alfred Molina and Ben Kingsley have joined the cast of the forthcoming Prince of Persia movie. Despite being a phenomenal actor Kingsley has a rather patchy quality control history when it comes to selecting roles, but Molina's involvement is promising and will certainly serve to placate the geek horde.

With a solid cast and no doubt superb Bruckheimer-sponsored production values, the only question remaining concerns the script. After so many recent blockbusters (Transformers, Indy 4, Pirates) have failed at the fundamental script level, can PoP break the cycle?

This is one Movie that I have Confidence in, it looks pretty solid, hopefully it will be a great team effort, with everyone contributing, then most likely the script will turn out well.

Team effort is a euphemism for too many rewriters in my book! That's what dragged the POTC sequels down (oh, and shooting while the script wasn't finished).

I have very low expectations of this... I am expecting it to be appalling but I have found a bit of hope in humanity since watching the Max Payne movie trailer.

Quite an odd cast really.
