i made a little movie because i broke my arm wrestling and have nothing better to do. and yes this is the actual footage. The boy landed on me and it was pretty painfull but i had to finish the match because i was already set to win. So i made a movie of clips leading up to the big match with it. I think you will notice it when it happens.
here it is http://myspacetv.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=36996782

P.S. sorry its myspace

Well as much as I'd love to watch a two immature children breaking an arm I can't. The MySpace video thingy is messed up and shoots to the end after about 15 seconds. So I can't watch it but I'm sure it was a wonderful moment for you.

Well I can't watch it...still trying to get it to work but hope your arm gets better soon though.

EDIT: It's working, mwa hahaha

EDIT EDIT: Watched it now and I have to say I'm disapointed...I was expected a floppy arm to wave everywhere. Ahh well. Get well soon.

Kids playing wrestlers, one breaking his arm while doing it.... Just the thing I'm interested to see.

Have fun breaking the rest I guess

I'm not really sure at which point it broke... But bloody hell, are you guys violent! eek

For your broken arm: I actually broke my arm this year as well. What sucks most is probably that you can only type with one hand. wink Good luck!

i can type with two hands but it sucks because i cant wrestle. Not because my arms broke but because my cast would probley hurt someone.

Spoken like a true hardcore wannabe. smile

Hehe, you do realise that wrestlers actually fake nearly all their moves? I mean...you guys actually hit each other on the head with objects...must be the mindless childish minds at work in this violent era.

Yeah, you actually surprised me by saying that your cast might hurt someone, because wooden plank-y thingies don't? Well, maybe the trees where you live are more flexible than those up here. razz

EDIT: Not that I'd know, really, because with my extra-thick hair you can hit me on the head with whatever you like and I'll hardly notice.

Just don't do what FXmaniac once said he'd do...jump of a garage onto a table or something. smile Haven't heard from him for a while in fact.

But yeah, keep it safe, don't want a bunch of kids getting their lifes wrecked at a young age do we? smile

Well, you broke your arm through your own stupidity.

... Congratulations?

PS - I'd normally be tempted to delete a thread as dumb as this (especially where there's pointless danger involved). But I think it's best left as a warning to other people who might be stupid enough to try back-yard wrestling.

Funny you'd mention this.

A couple of years back some of my family's friends were over, and I hung out with that girl who can be a bit crazy sometimes, and we jumped from my garage onto my little, 1½ meter-wide trampoline. Ah, good times.

(Note that the trampoline did have a net, so it was, technically, safe. wink)

it may seem stupid to you. But you have to think just how much money you get if u make it big. Its not that hard either. But 1 mill a week seems worth 1 broken arm. And its not backyard wrestling really because most of everyone but the person that broke my arm is in real training. So yeah its just an opinion of how stupid it really is.

You have to remember that wresterling or however you spell the stupid thing, is kinda like football except in football it's less skin shown, and more "I can make a million a week for kicking a football into a net".

Basically any sport is stupid especially when money becomes involved, can't you simply do your wresterling for the pure joy of it instead of money?

The thing is, though, that making money for one broken bone a week won't really make you go that far in life. I know there was a woman, once, who was to be paid $1,000,000 if she fell from the Niagara Falls in a barrel. Obviously, she died. [If she had used our website, however, things would obviously have been very different...]* You see my point? Not that I'm saying this about your wrestling, it was obviously just for good fun. So I'm not talking about you, just the people who don't fake it.

*Good advertisement, isn't it? razz

To be honest I've watched this video a few times now near where I assume the break is...I see no sense of a break, surely you'd loose main movement in your broken arm but yet you still manage to life the kid and support him to a landing.

Funnily enough, I agree. We can moan and groan all we want about how this video elicits bad behavior and inspires dangerous ideas or whatever; but this is no different than the 100+ violent gun movies in the cinema for the hundreds of comparable 'check out this waterfall dive' stunt type threads. Also, er-no had a huge thread about his leg breaking, and that was no big deal.

This video is actually cool to watch, I wish people I knew had knowledge of similar 'moves', because I'd bet they would look real good when added to a fight sequence in a movie. You'd get a +1 from me, if I could. That, and you already broke your arm as punishment. So alls well that ends well, I suppose. biggrin

Meh. Next time, I suggest trying to bike off the roof of your house onto a trampoline and into a swimming pool, while set on fire. You could also play baseball with a dry ice bomb. All equally fun as backyard wrestling!

Nah, joking aside, this isn't how you get into real wrestling. If that is your goal, quit school as soon as possible, start taking steroids, work out like crazy, act crazy, find a meme, and then injure a couple of people in a bar fight in front of some WWE bigwig.

I forgot that you were jgtrox. I thought that you wanted to become a real wrestler (like Olympic wrestling).

So let's get this straight.

You gave up this, so you could do this instead? eh

pookey its not like that at all. Its alot more civilized than you think. They dont take steriods because there is alot of drug tests. Also they look for people that will make a show and that have done some wrestling like im in training for. When i get done training i will get someone to record one of my matches. But it could be a while seeing that i have a broke arm but its all good because the doc says 3 weeks and them i can wear a wrist brace.

Yeah this is really no big deal. Heh, my friends and I ALWAYS did stuff like this when we were young. Watching this actually gave me some serious nostalgia ha. And like Ben was saying, its really no different then the thousands of filmmakers (including many on this site) that have done stupid stunts in their videos growing up (i.e. the dive over an object while shooting a gun ha).

Honestly, one of my other dreams besides making movies/tv, was to be in the WWE (WWF back then ha). I wanted to do it so bad but I wanted filmmaking more. Trust tho, if I do make it, you will see me cameo on a RAW or Smackdown whoopin someones ass ha. Hell, If Leno, Eubanks and Kimmel can do it, so can I (And I'll do it better ha).

But yea, have fun while you're young but be safe, man. I still have never broken a bone either. I do have my fair share of bruises and scars tho but thats besides the point. Just watch out for future matches tho jgtrox, because you know your opponent is always gonna try to "work" your arm haha. Also, there are training schools for WWE style wrestling. You should look'm up when you become of age. (Unless you have already)

i know this is pretty random. But if me and some of my freinds that wrestle were in a action movie fight scene it would probley look alot more real than alot of other action movies.

Not really. Depending on how real a fight looks is all down to the camerawork and a bit of acting, just because you can actually pick each other up doesn't mean your an oscar winning action team.

I'd actually wager that if I had to film a fight scene- and my brother and I were in charge of shooting and editing- that one with jgtrox's wrestling skills would come out cooler than, say, one with actors that I have at my disposal. I'm not saying it's make for great cinema, or that the acting would be good: just that it'd probably look cooler.
