Statist, but on the border with liberal. It'll be interesting to see where everyone here falls on the chart.

An exact Centrist, in the exact middle of all sides. But I voted Democratic for the important things. smile

I always thought I was farther right because I believe in government staying out of private business economics. But I was pretty close to libertarian (Which I used to think was center. I've never seen the political scale like this before. I've always seen left wing and right wing). I think It made me slightly to the right and not full libertarian is because I voted to keep laws against drugs and maybe on military drafting. I would like to see Mccaine and Obama take this test. Mccain wouldmost likely be in the center and obama would be on the far left close to statist.

Libertarian: kind of expected that. 100% in personal, 60% in econimic. Also on the left side, so a liberal Libertarian. Again, I already knew this.

Sweet, I "espouse a "middle ground" regarding government control of the economy and personal behavior" and "depending on the issue, sometimes favor government intervention and sometimes support individual freedom of choice".

Centrist, but leaning towards the left and libertarian, basically.

To be honest, though, I think a lot of political positions are mainly the result of lack of information (mine included, possibly). There are obviously personal issues like religion or family that affect it, but most of the time, when debating with other people (whether they be my age or older) I've found it's usually just that they had no idea what they were talking about (misinformation, not stupidity). Same goes for when I've realised I was wrong politically.

I exited the browser before I could look at the percentages, but judging by the chart, I was pretty far into the conservative region. Which I could have told you without having to take the quiz.

Centrist, slightly toward the upper-right. Basically what I expected, really. I certainly don't get too extreme about politics one way or another, and I tend to keep an open mind biggrin

I got centrist - though leaning towards the left + libertarian.

I'd personally describe my political beliefs as left-of-centre.

We can't help how communist you are smile. To tell you the truth, I'm really surprised how many people here are right wing (A good thing i think). It seems like most people in this industry like Michel Moore( evil ) Are really far left

I think you'll find that apart from America and a few other countries, most of the world's population is Leftist. So much so, in fact, that America's left is still pretty much Centrist for other countries.

I don't think you get American politics as well as you think, then. Because when you wanna go political right-wing in America there's only so far you can go. When you want to be leftist, there's no stopping the end of the spectrum. smile

In a way, you're right. But the left-right political spectrum is just a scale to see were you stand on personal and economical freedoms.

Well, that little test put me in right-wing, but I think I was falling asleep and I must have answered quite inaccurately, because really I'm a leftie.

So I took Digerati's test and got this:

... which seemed more like it! razz

I'm not quite sure what you mean, but what I meant was that Democrats in America tend to still have quite a few ideas that would elsewhere be considered to the Right. The perfect example of this is Hillary, though you see it in some of Obama's policies as well. Not that it's necessarily a bad thing, but it's just something I've noticed.

Hm, I see where you're coming from Pooky, but pro-choice, universal healthcare, and taxing the wealthy is definitely a left-wing mindset. Both Hillary and Obama wanted that, only Hillary's healthcare plan was a nightmare. Christ.

Honestly, I think both candidates this year are terrible. I no longer trust Obama, and Mccain isn't a strong speaker, and many people say it jokingly, but he's on the verge of... leaving us. Even the Libertarian candidate, Bob Barr isn't good. He's a neo-conservative that has a few Libertarian ideas. I don't like him... or his mustache. Ron Paul was by far the best candidate in this race. Dammit, America. You screwed yourself over again. neutral

Can you give an example Pooky on what would be considered "Right-Winged" from Hilary or Obama? I agree with Fill as far as the current candidates. Though, I think that John Mccain is by far the lesser of two evils. I would have to disagree about Ron Paul, though. Mostly because I disagreed with his policies about our troops in the middle east. But I really don't want to get into a debate.

It's interesting that so many Fxhome users are Right-Winged. I've always thought most users were either left winged or centrists...

I agree %100! I get in an argument with this guy at work all the time about that. He claims the only reason we went to Iraq was to get free oil. I liked Mitt Romney and Alan Keys. Not that I can vote or any thing, but for being 16, I am really into politics.

Libertarian with slight right leanings. Which is funny, because I think conservatives are borderline, if not total Fascist these days.
