This is for any 3D masters out there...I think it would B really cool 2 have a couple of views of a tidal wave(animated). Front coming towards you, the side and from on the top. Can any one do this, cause it would look so good in some movies

The problem with this type of effect is similar to the Twister plugins that have been discussed, the effect needs to interact too much with the background footage.

AlamDV works best with overlay stlye effects, lights, flashes, phasers etc.

The front on tidal wave might work, like the special edition of Abyss, you could have it in the distance in a long shot, but the side on view would just look like it was stuck on....take a look at deep impact and the ammount of interaction the side on views of the wave has when it trashes New York...

Yeah I woudl have to agree. I have been playing with a twister plug in but it just straight out sucks. I think this one would too. Sorry

Well maybe it could work maybe your could have a look at the tidel wave on Deep Impact from the side when it hits the buildings, that wouldnt be too bad for a plugin, you could use it for a far away shot if you know where im coming from crazy

or u could make some debris plug-ins, and then take kermz futuristic building plug-ins, and use the tidal wave to destory them biggrin

i think it could be possible but you would need to use it right
