Hi everyone,

This is strange, because my desktop isn't even that colour. The line's been bugging me for the last week or so, especially because I always click on it when I try to scroll down in the toolbox! upset

Thanks in advance for any help,

Plainly, who has performed a clean reinstall and does run the latest update (the one that Tarn posted today) razz

Maybe it's Gods way of cursing you?

Other than that, I can't help ya.

That looks like the edge of a window (giving that you appear to be using Vista), not your desktop background.

Maybe your VLab isn't running fullscreen like it should (although it's still very close).

I'd highly doubt that, as Plainly has been running Visionlab for many months, and from what I can tell this is only a recent problem.

I've been running EffectsLab for many months too and have a similar problem to the one I explained (only on XP) from time to time. It comes and goes and it didn't start till fairly recently either.

So, maybe something about Plainly's computer (and perhaps mine) has changed recently and it only just now causing a problem. In fact, I can't think of any other way a 'recent problem' would occur.

Strange that a clean reintall wouldn't fix it though (although I've never tried on mine before).

Thanks for the replies. biggrin

It's true that it could be a problem with my computer... I'd don't see what it'd be, but that's obviously a possibility and really, what do I know.

I've taken a screenshot of the edge of VisionLab and a small Internet window to compare. Here it is:

Slightly different, but that's a possibility as well.

As for VLab not running fullscreen, I've definitely checked in my preferences and it is set at fullscreen. You'll also notice that the X to close the program is slightly cut as the annoying line slices through it.

Any other ideas?

Thanks again.

P.S. I've been using VisionLab on this computer for about 6 months, now, and have only been experiencing this problem since the last week or so.

It's fixed! I just noticed today, even though it must have been that way for a while since I didn't do much headdesking lately (about VisionLab, anyway biggrin). Anyway, thanks again for the comments.

Yes, my VisionLab is absolutely gorgeous now that it's fully sleek, black & emo again. razz

This is a problem on Vista. It's something to do with graphics drivers. If you have the problem, close VisionLab, go into your graphics drivers and change a minor setting (for example, the way nvidia drivers handle aspect ratio), then load VisionLab again and it'll be fine.

Rather inconvenient, sorry!
