How do you create certain things like fog, fire, magic etc.? How do you change their size? I watched the tutorial twice. Either I'm really stupid or really not attentive...

I'm going with "not very attentive." smile

The thing about particles is that the settings have to be adjusted on virtually every effect, to make it suit the footage it is being used with. And most of the time, more than one setting will need adjusted. Try using the pause button on the tutorials to break them into smaller sections, and work with just a bit at a time.

Also, you might have a look at this tutorial, which has no video, but does go through and explain the functions of almost every control in the particle engine, ifnot all of them. Once you have looked at those, and familiarised yourself a bit more with the engine in general, you might look at some specific presets, and examine what settings and textures they have used to create a certain effect. Afterward, if you still have some specific questions, let us know.
