VideoWrap! has worked great for me until i couldn't convert DVDs with more than 2 channels of audio. I have some AVIs that i need to convert to fit onto one DVD, and since they have more than 2 channels of audio, it's impossible. The next release of VideoWrap! should have surround sound support. Once that surround sound barrier is gone, VideoWrap! will be perfect.

If you want to make DVDs (especially if you want multiple audio tracks), you really need a DVD authoring program. VideoWrap is not a DVD authoring program.

i never said that i wanted to make DVDs with VideoWrap! i said that i needed to CONVERT video files with more than two channels of audio into a DIFFERENT FORMAT so that they could FIT ONTO ONE DVD. that's a lot different than trying to make an encoder program work as a dvd authoring program. it'll never work

Wow. Its a pretty big assumtion that based on the fact that a feature you requested has not yet been implemented, that it never will. It also seems illogical to think that more people asking for that feature wouldn't have an impact on whether it eventually does get developed.

I have no idea whether they are working in implementing this yet or not, or even whether they plan to, but I do know that if a certain feature is requested by many users, it will certainly be looked into by the development team. Whether it is found to be possible or not is a different story, but the number of requests will certainly affect any decision that is made.

There is absolutely no sarcasm in my previous post. I'm sorry if you took any of it that way. My point was only that if there is a new feature you want, telling others not to request it is counter-productive. Letting everyone who wants that feature ask for it is the best way to see it happen.

I'm not part of the development team, so I have no say on whether any feature will be added or not. I'm just trying, one user to another, to help you make your request in the way that is most likely to get results.

Yeah but why use VideoWrap to make a smaller size movie. iDVD can take a 40 GB 10 bit uncompressed video and encode it to a 4.7 GB single layer DVD-R along with the audio. Am I missing something here?
