The second greatest comic of all time, Y: The Last Man, is currently being wrestled into production by director DJ Caruso. Having worked with him on Disturbia and the forthcoming Eagle Eye, Caruso intends to bring Shia "I'm in everything" LaBeouf onboard to play the lead character of Yorick Brown, who finds himself the last surviving man on Earth after a mysterious plague outbreak.

/film have an interview with Caruso about his efforts to bring this acclaimed comic book to the big screen.

It has a lot of humour and some very, very funny moments. But it's not a 'comedy' per se. As with all great stories, it has some comedy, some tragedy, and everything in-between.

I highly recommend it - the story is finished now and is available as 10 trade paperbacks. Any good bookshop or comic shop should have them. Make sure you read them in order. wink

Lol. I, Robot stars Will Smith and Shia LaBeouf. LaBeouf decides to go on similar career trajectory, making his own killing robots movie and now a last man movie. I'd echo the film's title and ask, y?

Oh, and will the sequel be called x?
