Gory Neck-Stump Plug-in

I just created my first plug-in and I'm really unsure if I should submit it to this site due to its graphic nature. The plug-in is basically the gory end of a neck stump; I culled the image from a pic I found on-line so that I could create reasonably realistic headless zombies (i.e. I use the plug-in in conjunction with cheesy home-made greenscreening techniques).

To give you a clearer idea of what the plug-in is like, it looks like a 2-D pizza which is stretchable but has no depth.

Should I submit it, dudes? I feel really bad using elements from a real gore pic...

I don't think you should submit it. You have to keep in mind that small kids DO visit this site (just look at the age poll topic). I personally wouldn't want to turn away potential buyers because the plug-ins are too graphic. sad As for the blood splats, they look cheesy, so I don't mind if they stay. wink

We should have an AlamDV-XXX section where all the gory nastiness can be kept away from minors (and miners too).

I know Shwar etc want to keep all the plugins on this site but with their permission I could hold the excessive ones on the Yahoo group.

I think it should be available, as TMM says warnings can be included...

Actually, I am more scared of kids running around with guns and using ALAM DV to simulate shooting people- That is real life violence.
A zombie with no head is really near the bottom of my list for things kids shouldn't see. The news is chock full of things "kids shouldn't see".
I think you should submit it.

peace,
Bryan

I just did a pilot test and it doesn't look too good, actually. I was forced to add a lot of film grain to conceal the 'blemishes', and ended up getting an unintended old film look.

I don't have my own website, so I can't post the clip. Any takers? biggrin

Oh yeah, it's only a measly 3 second, 417KB clip smile

Stick it up in the files section

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/alamdv/

You will need a Yahoo ID, but registration is simple enough... smile
