No lightning or Electric fx in Effectslab pro, its a shame. A real disappointment. That was one of the reasons I brought this...I've been busy making my own preset with less than good results. using some alam2 preset.....

anyone had any luck........... they should add this ability as a upgrade....

It is available as an upgrade. VisionLab has a lightning engine, and you can purchase an upgrade from EffectsLab to VisionLab.

I'm sorry about the confusion, but I don't think it's mentioned anywhere that EffectsLab has a dedicated lightning engine. As Axeman says, that's one of the special features in VisionLab Studio.

This is why it is always a good idea to download the demo first before purchasing it. That way you can find out what features it has and learn to use is first before you dump any money on a product that turns out to lack that extra special feature you are after.
Lessons learned eh? wink

There's lightning on the picture for Effectslab though, it's kind of misleading.

YOu could probably make some type of lightning with the neon lights.

You can actually create a decent lightning bolt with the EffectsLab neon light engine though. I've been playing around with it a little bit and it doesn't look great but it's ok. You could try this preset:

Force Lightning

Yeah, I was kinda bummed when I learned that. Not understanding how it worked, I downloaded the trial version, then when it had no lightning I supposed that the full version did. It didn't, but I don't mind too much.

The upgrade to VisionLab; how much does this cost?
