I just bought this app. converted three videos no problem and i'm really loving this thing. THEN after the three I can not convert any more video files. They are the same .wmv as the others. It runs about half way then gives:

ffmpeg.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close.

whats going on? what do I need to do?

Is it just one specific file that causes the problem? What happens if you try to encode the other WMVs that worked fine before?

I have tried various other wmv files that work on their own. When using Video Wrap they get a little over half way done before I get the error.

So the ones that worked fine before now only get halfway through?

There are many different types of WMV and unfortunately some of the newer ones may not be fully compatible with VideoWrap.

I did not try to re-run those.

I did restart my computer and was then able to get one to finish. I may just have to reboot after each video that I encode.

Looks to me like the output format you are trying is a two pass, where the second pass also encodes the audio. I'm guessing that the wmv's that you are trying has a newer type of Windows Media audio which is incompatible.

If it was consistent I would agree. but After a reboot one of the files that failed before, finished. My pc has plenty of resources. I may just have to reboot after each video.

Rebooting certainly shouldn't have any effect, and it's extremely strange that video files that were working previously are no longer. Are you sure you've been using the exact same files?

Also, have you tried converting other formats, such as AVI or MOV?

I have a mixture of MOV, AVI and WMV files. as stated before, the first three files i converted went through like a champ. after that files will get a litter over half way then the app shuts down. I did have two other files (both avi) that i kept retrying and one of them eventually finished. Since then however i have not been able to convert any files.
