I know how to change the scan method when you start a new project but how do you go about changing it once you already started. I have a project finished but I just realized I want progressive scan now instead of interlaced even.

thanks for any help

go into the media tab, right click the clip you want to change, click media properties, and there you go smile

As far as the project settings, you can't change them after the project is created. You can however, save all of the work you have done as presets, so after you create a new project with the correct settings you don't have to re-do all the stuff you spent so much time doing in the first place. You just have to re-import the clips, take a minute or two to apply the presets, and you're good to go.
