I recently downloaded a blood splat plugin from the fxhome downloads section(The only one with a gold rating). I imported it successfully but there was one small problem. It was so big that it took up the whole screen. The scale was at .01, so I changed the emitter point to a rectangle, zoomed in and made it as small as it would let me. It was still way our of proportion to the people in my movie.

I have seen this blood Splat in action in other videos, but it is much much smaller.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Which product are you actually using? You posted this in the After Effects plugin forum, which I presume was incorrect.

Are you trying to use a particle preset or a plugin/stock footage?

Looks like he has registered, as he is shown to be a gold user. And since the Lite versions have been discontinued some time ago, he probably has the latest version.

Have you tried altering the particle size as well as the scale?

Ive noticed that sometime's when you scale down particle presets it usually doesnt take effect until the next frame or 2, did you make sure to check the other frames to see if it shrinks?

Thanks for the help guys, but I figured this one out myself (somehow.)

What I did was I positioned the blood splat enoigh in the screen, so you could see all or most of it. Then I saved that as an AVI and just used it as stock footage.

P.S.

Particle size was lowered, but ther were no substantial effects
