Best settings for losing mini DV greenscreen jagged edges?

I was wondering if there is anyone out there who has had great success in minimising the dreaded Mini DV jagged edges on greenscreen?
Tips on best settings on blur method / amount and any other VL settings would be really appreciated.
Also, I was wondering if a Mini DV camera directly out-ed to a Canon HV30 HDDV camera with DV input prior to greening screen application could solve the problem of projects recorded on Mini DV.
In other words, would it become progressive on transfer and eliminate the problem? Or is that too simple?

Is it possible for you to upload an image or (even better) a clip we could look at? There isn't any 'best setting' per se, as the best setting for one clip may work quite poorly on another. So for the best feedback, a sample of the clip you are working with would be great.
MiniDV is by no means inherently difficult to greenscreen, so if we can see a sample, we should be able to give you some suggestions to get you rolling.

Make sure the UV filter is set to box blur and a strength of about 2, that should smooth out miniDV jaggies.
