Working with greenscreen (beginner) help!

Hi, this may sound obvious but I've never used this kind of sofware before and I can't find an answer in the video tutorials or the help section.

I have footage of a person filmed in front of a greenscreen and I'm trying to use composite lab to remove the green and replace with a different background.

I know this is a very basic question but that's the problem, all the tutorials seem to assume you know that already. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thank you for your time.
