ok is there a shortcut key/command so i can jump to the start of the timeline please?

also re greenscreen, anyway to see the background screen overlapped to see what effect you are getting rather than having to click the bottom layer to see the desired effect? any way round this please?
i mean when you are messing around with the sliders etc so you dont just have the black screen!

thanks! smile

On the time line there's a little "bar" that follows "you" around so it'll be at whatever frame you're working on. you can pretty much use your mouse button to "click" go to any frame you want to. your green screen question: on the time line after you add the Chroma Key filter there is a red dot by default. click on it and it turns green letting you know that the effect has been activated so you should be able to see your back ground through your green screen footage

Also, at the top right of the canvas you can select the view you are currently looking at. Changing it to "Project Overview" will show all layers at once.

yeah sorry, I must not have explained it right. see where the play button is? right below that is the time line. there are blocks that represent frames. each frame has a Grey block, just left mouse click at the beginning of the time line "first frame" and you're there. you can do this with any frame.

thanks a lot spydurhank! smile

yeah but you still have to wait until it scrolls back to frame 1 right?
i was wondering if theres something that jumps to right to the start in one easy move, so it resets the timeline, cursor, everything to the start!

i cannot find any function which does this!

Na it should go right to it, at least mine does. other than that I'm not sure. Hell I've never even looked to see if there are any keyboard shortcuts. the only ones I know of are the arrow keys. they work on the time line. up, down, left and right.

Doh! i forgot about the slider, sorry man i didn't realize about the length of your footage. at least you've got it so that's cool. anther thing is if you use the arrow keys for stuff that needs frame by frame work it goes faster for you.
