how to do cartoon effect

hi i was woundering if anyone one had any niffty ways to make the picture white but with black lines for the detail of the picture so it can be printed of and coloured in but have that detail look like if it was someone's face it have the detail of there face. but everything else white.

yes i do

First fiddle around with the grading tools then you will get the black abd white lines

then render it with only 1 mili second so it dosn't take long to render

then import it to windows movie maker and bellow the preivew of the vid there is a take picture option, then you have made it how you wanted it and made it in to a picture ready for printing

if you don't have a green screen you have to click on "mask" under the picture and then click on freehand.then you draw your shape and after you are done click animate in the options

Is this what you are talking about? If it is, I used a grade object with edge detect: sobel and threshold. You can ajust the detail by moving the slider for theshold back and forth. To print them out, makesure you render as a PNG or Tiff sequence. This will make a bunch of pictures and you can print them out.
