I'm trying to submit a film which I uploaded to Vimeo (www.vimeo.com) which is the same as YouTube but it keeps being rejected saying it's just a webpage.

Can anyone suggest another site that I could upload my film other than YouTube?

I believe the problem with Vimeo is that the link you provide for the cinema has to actually point directly to the movie file, not to the page the movie is on.

Generally the problem with Youtube is the quality issue, but they have made a few changes recently that allow you to post videos at a much higher quality than was previously possible. Alternately, I have used www.archive.org as a host before, but as I recall it was a bit of a pain to set up the account.

Vimeo is not the same as YouTube, it is a completely different website. smile

As Axeman says, we only allow direct linking or YouTube submissions.
