Been a fan of Seven and Seven lately, as gay as that sounds. Or Jack and Coke, though the fraternity demands much odder combinations (Baileys and Tabasco, argh).

I've always been partial to Quervo and chasing it with Bud lite which is what I do on a normal night at the pub but around... way back in 97 or 98 I met these 2 girls that could take the Quervo but they had to chase it with Tabasco sauce and that's about the only way I could take star wars "the newer ones". good try but I had to bear them.
Anyone can take a shot but it's not every day that you meet the person that can chase that shot with Tabasco. tard

I like dark beer. Stouts, Ales and porters. Even though I don't care much for lagers or yellow beer I have been keeping Corona and the lime growers in business lately.

This New Years I'll buy a bottle each of Jagermeister, Absolut and Jack Daniel's... I may even invite some people over! lol

A half and half shot of Jager and Absolut will turn your lights out pretty quick if you're not careful.

I do like a nice IPA in the summer, but if you want to try something rather fun (in moderation, etc., oh please yourselves...)...

* Half a mug of black strong coffee - instant coffee works well for this as it's nice and hot! It'll get cooler as you finish the recipe, so as hot as you can is a good starting point. No sugar, no milk, it'll be creamy and sugary enough when you add...
* Topped up with equal parts of
* Brandy (cheap will do when mixed like this)
* Tia Maria (or Kahlur)
* Baileys (not flavoured, just regular)

It's strong (made in a regular mug this is effectively 6 shots, although the Tia Maria and Baileys are weaker than the brandy making each mug the equivelent of 4 shots of brandy). It looks like innocent coffee. It even smells more or less OK, I used to make it to drink behind the bar I worked at - and got away with it. Best thing is the caffiene has a kick to offset the spirits, you realise you're bumping into doorways but don't care. You feel all warm inside. Yummm...

You can (duh!) make it weaker by making 2/3 or 3/4 of a mug of coffee, or using a smaller cup, but try one full strength to know what it should taste like - perfect drink for the season. Don't try mixing it in a session with wine or beer though - it's not pretty

I'm a tequilla man, myself (shot taker). My go-to beer is miller lite. Hate jäger by itself but I love jägerbombs. I'm a fan of redbull vodkas as well as carbombs (that's really the only time I do guiness, unless someone buys a round). I also love strongbow ale.

I can't do anything else brown tho (ex. Jack, crown, johnny, ughh). Some bad nights have negated those from my list hah.

What's Strongbow ale like? Over Strongbow is a dry cider and used to be famous for its humorous adverts, but trendy bottled ciders have the market edge at the moment. I do like cider, but it does make me loopy so it's been (wisely) banned by Mrs Pdrg :-$

I'd say Baileys, but I actually do not like drinking, despite my efforts... I like Baileys because of the unique taste, but everything else is inferior taste-wise to normal drinks. I'm over the drinking age in Canada, if you're wondering, so I've tried quite a few things by now razz

Likewise, in ten years of being of age I've been unable to develop a real taste for any kind of alcohol. Its just not nearly as refreshing or thirst quenching as an ice cold coke. I occasionally enjoy a Guiness or a Black Butte Porter, I strongly dislike beer that isn't dark. Haven't yet found a wine that is even slightly satisfying. As far as harder stuff, I'd have to go with Absinthe. And once in a great while, a shot of Irish whiskey.

But still, if Coke is an option, the alcohol doesn't stand a chance.

There is one thing I tried which tasted better than coke and was alcohol, but it's kind of a girly drink: bright green melon stuff with about 16% alcohol (pisang ambon is even better if you're in Europe) mixed with tropicana orange juice. Quite nice.

'Course, you can't really drink it in satisfying quantities without getting drunk, so it's still inferior.

Not a fan of hard alcohol, but I do like Coors Light. A cold Corona Extra with lime on a hot day is really nice too. Especially if you are on a beach in Mexico with your friends. biggrin

I generally enjoy a wide variety of ciders, and particularly Strongbows.

Vodka and Redbull, Jack and Coke, White Russians and mind erasers are also favorites of mine.

I rarely make it down to the Irish pub around here now days though. I haven't really had time.

I don't drink. But I do enjoy certain substances that one smokes. smile

On the extremely off-chance I do drink, I'll enjoy a bottle of Schnapps-- Raspberry is my favorite.

Thread said "no minors." I am not a minor. I've had drinks several times legally in other countries (Germany and Italy). wink

I can't stand most alcohol, to be honest... but I do enjoy the feeling of just a bit too much. Not to the point of throwing up, but I like being a bit drunk.

So pretty much the only stuff I drink is pretty high proof, because it gets the job done quicker. That said, I do have a soft spot that likes the taste of most any brand of Irish creme, Mike's hard lemonade, or red, pink or white wines. Those are the only alcoholic beverages I consume gleefully, out of tasty enjoyment.

From what I understand, sleep deprivation can have the same effects as a slight alcohol buzz. If I want to be a little giddy, I'll take that any day because there's no risk of getting sick or doing something I'll regret later. At least that's my rationale.

In terms of beverages, sweet tea is ridiculously awesome. I don't know how I lived without it in the midwest for so many years!

I think I have a problem...
I drink so that I will be able to sleep.
Back in October I didn't sleep for three days and had trouble sleeping for another two weeks.
I wanted to see if I could make it without drinking for 3 weeks, right before my birthday. I made it but not sleeping sucks.

Wow, that really stinks! eek Going on little sleep for a long period of time is one of the most miserable things ever. I'm doing it right now to finish a film that premieres Saturday, but if I couldn't sleep, even though I wanted to, I'm not sure how I would cope.

Amen to that man.
I didn't drink tonight so I've been working on stuff since 6:00 p.m. to make myself tired enough to crash.
I watched Joe Dirt, finished a couple of concept drawings and have been working on Vision Lab since 12:30.
I'm kinda getting there on the tired side so it's working. the thing is I have a bottle of Quervo on my desk and a couple a beers in the fridge.
kinda tempting but I'm gonna tough it out and try to sleep normaly without the booze. tard

That's probably the best way to go. Dependency is a weird thing. Every night for the past few months I have only lain down for about five minutes before my mouth suddenly goes dry, and I can't fall asleep until I take a drink of water. Sometimes I try to ignore the urge, but I always give up because I can't see any good reason to not take the drink. I'm sure that your issue is a little bit tougher than mine is, but hang in there. If you really want to sleep without the alcohol, you can. I'm not sure if you believe it'll make a difference, but I'm praying for you man.

That's Cool and thanks Gibs.
it's like 5:23 right now and I'm just waiting for this clip to render.
I was tired as hell who knows how long ago but I couldn't stop working till I finished it. I'll try to crash to another movie or something.
Dude I just remembered that I used to listen to music to make myself fall asleep.
I think I'll re-download my music into my puter and ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ.

I finally had to call it quits at 4:00, I tried to finish composing the last scene but my vision started shaking every time I concentrated on the screen. Music is good for that though, I agree.

yeah I should have stopped while I was ahead.
the 18 second clip looked great but in my insomniac state, I tried to render with sound.
I should have just saved the project and started up again today...
No I tried to finish it but I was doing something wrong so I kept trying to render using different settings.
Vision Lab finally crashed and I lost all of my work. frown It's cool though biggrin it's just practice and I'll start over. sleep but for now I'm gonna rest a little longer so that I don't make the same mistake.
