I have a mac and idk if that makes a difference but where my attributes tab should be it only says info and that messes up the whole keying and stuff so how do i get my attributes tab there?

You have to select the layer you want to edit, on the timeline. If you want to key something, click "Key" for that layer. The toolbox contents are dynamic, they change based on what controlset you have selected on the timeline.
