i rendered a cgi mov file that is in alpha. When i import it into effects lab pro and place it over the background footage, it is always transparent. How do i make it so the cgi layer is not transparent?

If there is a properly embedded alpha channel in the footage, then it shouldn't be transparent. What codec did you render the .mov file in? Can you change the blend mode of the layer in EffectsLab to Normal?

I import it in, and it cant change to anything else, so it stays on normal. It is a quicktime mov file.

Another thing, if i select new prodject/select video, it isnt transparent. Only when i import it in and then place it over background footage. I just dont get this...
