I'm considering taking the plunge and upgrading to Vision Lab (taking advantage of the great sale prices).

I know that there have been various posts on the forums with regards to the move to a universal binary and that the hold up is due to third party software, but my question is, if I upgrade to VLab now, if in the near future you are to release a universal binary version of VLab, is this likely to be a free or paid upgrade.

I don't want to find myself in the position of having to pay a similar fee to the current upgrade fee in several months time (mainly through fear of having to justify a further upgrade cost to the wife wink ).

As always, point upgrades (1.1, 1.2, 1.3 etc) are free. Major upgrades (v1 to v2) require an upgrade fee.

Thanks Tarn

I guess that a move to a universal binary would qualify as v2(?)

I know that FX Home try to avoid giving out timelines with regards to product development, but is the move to a universal binary or v2 likely to occur in the next 6 months?
