Maybe actually asking in a gracious way instead of wording things like 'give me' or 'send me' would yield better results. Although I'll give you an advance answer: No.

And have you any idea what a matte painting even is?

Doing a quick Google Image Search
http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&q=landing+crafts+&btnG=Search+Images&gbv=2
the very first page had many good photos on it.

Just pick a few that match your camera angle, use Photoshop or Gimp to cut them out and your one step closer to an A+

...First off I was giving you options if you were to even do it, Even though I kind of had an notion thaT they would say no, but it doesnt hurt asking. Secondly, I would have been extremely gracious as I was in the first post, I would have given credit I would have asked if there was anything that I could do for them. And finally, whats your problem if you dont have it and you dont like to share and help out then just shut up and dont say anything at all. That is the gracious thing to do, I may not be an experienced or older member but I sure do know when someone is being a pri*k for no reason. And yeah I do know what it is thanks for underestimating my intelligence and again making yourself look like an as*hole.

Any clue as to what I mean, yet? You can't request something with such a sense of entitlement/devoid of humbleness. You may have used the word 'ask' once in your post, but the general language of your request- to me at least- isn't very open, gracious, or really asking. It's all sort of a commanding 'either do this for me or do that for me' style.

I'm just cautioning, you're not going to get any results with that kind of attitude. Even if you're not meaning to have it, look over your posts in this thread and figure out how to go about it from now on to where people will be willing to help you.

But Im not saying Give me them. I am simply saying you can send them to me or you can just give me what you have to offer, Im not being snotty or anything. Maybe its how you are hearing it in your head, But The way I am saying it is please if you have anything that can help me at all, You can reply below and help me out a little. Otherwise Please dont comment on how you thought you heard me demand help. And I really need to get an A on this project, Im not saying I NEED AN A GIVE IT TO ME. Im saying I actually need an A for this project, so if you have anything to help me out please just reply. Thats all I am saying.

wow...

Atom, you post a lot of comments on this forum, but most of them aren't helping anyone at all. They mostly comment on the way they are written.

Especially on this one, you got some ridiculous points there... I agree that it could have been written differently, but we all got what he was saying. I think Jason put it right, don't post things like that because it's getting annoying.

(and yes I know this is a very hypocritical post, but Jason already found what he needed)

You're missing my point, buddy. Without asking, you're gonna get nothing. Sort of like people saying 'I need help with *******, email me for details.'

I think there's two things we can learn from this thread.

1. Always take the time to say 'please'. Being polite is a vastly underestimated and powerful tool of manipulation. smile

2. Atom isn't the Judge of FXhome and possibly spends a little too much time complaining about a few too many things. However, in this case I think he had a valid point, even if he did rather over-stress it.

Atom was 100% justified in everything he said. I totally agree with him; JasonX1024, you need to take a chill pill and start asking for things nicely. It was totally unfair to give Atom negative points for being helpful, even if the help he was giving was simply suggesting better ways that JasonX1024 could receive help (namely, some manners).

That being said, sxc.hu has an enourmous library of free photo's that I'm sure you could use. Good luck making your matte paintings, and I do hope you succeed in your project.

Be mindful, though, that to use sxc.hu (the 'stock exc.hange' as those clever people say) you need to sign up for an account there.

It's no big deal, but I went there for a while, downloading low-res images before I realized I only needed an account there to download the full, hi-res stock images that are available.

Ive done this before, Ive been in the same conversation a while back. I am not saying or demanding it, I am asking niceley PLEASE HELP ME. I really dont need complaints on how Unpleasant I am, because Im not being unpleasant NOTICE AT THE END OF MY FIRST POST. I said thank you so much in advance as in Thank you for looking over this and helping out if you do. I am really not being unpleasant It may be the way you imagined me saying it or how you heard it but I am asking niceley. At least I didnt say YO I NEED SOME OF THIS AND THAT GIMME GIMME GIMME. I just know that more experienced people with matte paintings and what not know what to do. And further more I HAVE MANNERS ITS TYPING NOT TALKING GUYS. Everyone hears peoples typed words different. You can see me say I need help with this project, i really need a matte painting of some sort. And I guess some of you heard I NEED THIS IF YOU HAVE IT. And to SGB he freaked out on me, quite insulting too. When someone asks for help on something a little complicated you dont say NO ASK IN A BETTER TONE DO YOU EVEN KNOW WHAT THAT IS?!?!. And thanks for the link.

He sure does deserve them, especially for using pejorative words like 'prick' or 'asshole'.

Oh wait, that was you.....

There's being appropriate in response and then there's being ignorant and short-sighted. It's fine to call someone out if you feel you've been wronged - such is the nature of a healthy argument - but don't resuscitate the quarrel ad nauseum. Typing, as you say is different than speaking because of the tonal range in different peoples' reading of it.

This is why it is quintessential to properly delineate your point when you make it, or at the very least, once 'called out' on it; back up and say, "you're right, I wasn't clear enough to make my words appropriate in the eyes of others. Here's what I really meant....". I think the hallmark reason you've received such vitriol is because instead of moderating your response - which is what you SHOULD do when you're in need of something from others - you've responded in all-caps'ed, bitchy blocks of text which I'm sure a lot of people see as superfluous and counterproductive to your goal.

That being said.....

Go ahead and check the stock xchange (http://sxc.hu) because I'm sure they have matte painting-like images that can easily be formed in Photoshop or the GIMP to produce the results you need.

I'm not going to go there and do it for you, but I do think that you already have the information you need to do it yourself; which, if you can remember, is what you asked for! biggrin

Not sure where the source material was from, probably iStockPhoto. The source elements were then altered quite a bit by schwar to match the specific requirements of the shots in question.

I think the most obvious thing here is that you'll have to find a stock image site, like the free sxc.hu that has been mentioned, then aggregate your images and edit them together in Photoshop to give you the results you need.
