Does anyone know how to create the clear looking energy ball seen in the fight scenes in the movie the Covenant.

Have you tried any presets? Just click on downloads and it should bring you to the presets.

yeah, i think i've looked through all of them. there wasnt one that i was looking for. its no big deal. i've kind of just messed with some presets and made one kinda similar but still not exactly what i want. i just wasnt sure if anybody else knew a good way to make that effect

when you say "clear energy ball," would you perhaps be thinking about the displacement composite effect?

Yeah, I was about to say that you may want to work more with displacement effects as well as the wave effects. I haven't seen the movie in a while, but if I remember correctly, they are more like distortions.

He can't put in displacement maps because he only has Effectslab as shown.
