Ok so I'm making a short film and i have rendered a shot of the Millennium Falcon entering our atmosphere using Lightwave 3D... but there is no smoke or burning effect or anything except the ship its self .... i was hoping to do that in Visonlab. The thing is... that... i have NO clue how to do that. so i'll need a tutorial or something like that to help me with this ha ha i know its a big order.

If anybody wants i can upload the shots, (so you can get some idea of what is happening) but i need some feedback before i do that. haha

ok but let me warn you... i'm only 14 years old, but already have experience with FXhome (i have been using it now for about 3 1/2 years)

I made this a while ago...

I think its a similar effect to what your after, I believe I used a neon light generator preset called "burning meteor" which can be found in the presets section of FXhome.

Then I used a custom particle generator on top of that, Tarn's official tutorials should get you on the right track to creating a particle generator.

Good luck!

alright sweet i checked it out it looks great!

i just realized that i have ur preset on my comp! lol but i will need your help with the particle emitter... i focused on compositing, neon swords and muzzle flashes haha not particle emitters ... i wished i had tho lol

so maybe you could just write down all the attributes and such on the emitter and send em to me, so that i can replicate it.
i don't know, would that be ok? i would REALLY appreciate it

thank you SO much! biggrin biggrin biggrin biggrin biggrin biggrin
