Here's hoping you win, I voted for you and instructed all my friends and relatives (some of which who *hopefully* ended up voting) to do the same! biggrin

Heh, "us" despite the fact that the accolades on our joint ventures were for cinematography, which is something I did; and the Best Movie nominee was one I directed. That, and me as the nominee in the helpful category is clearly indicative of his exclusive. biggrin

Ultimately, he was vetting for support for 'me', not 'us', but I wouldn't say it necessarily helped my campaign! wink

This being said, I would like to see a 'Best Editing' and 'Best Production Design/Art Direction' in the next FXhome Awards.

And a 'Best Score' for the few films that actually use original music. And thanks, ben3308, I'm optimistic that I might win something, being nominated in two categories, but I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much. Best wishes to you as well.

Yeah, I imagine we'll add more categories next year. 'Best score' would definitely be a good one, to encourage people to actually source original music.

I will be very upset if I don't also see 'Best Editing' up there with the FXHome Awards 2010, Tarn. smile

While we're at it, "best sounddesign" might be a good one too. biggrin

"best sollthar" award would also be neat. Though again, if it goes to someone else, that might shake my self-image a lot.

Best use of the word "respite" in an FXHome user name could be another good award to consider for next year?

That said, best editing, score and sound design all sound like excellent ideas.

I think the awards that I would most want to see added next year are Best Score and some kind of Best Acting awards. Aside from films, maybe there should be some kind of a Preset of the Year award too. Maybe even a Most +1s in a Single Post Award?

Anyway, good luck to all the nominees, especially the ones I voted for! wink

Do we have a time limit for acceptance speeches?

Uploading acceptance speech videos once the winners are announced is entirely optional.

Even better would be for those that didn't win to upload videos of them reacting in a pretend-to-be-pleased-for-the-winner kind of way. You know, the kind of look that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are so good at.

Looking forward to Tarn's award presentation, hopefully you'll do it as Ben Stiller pretending to be Joaquin Phoenix.
