Hi, i see a new version of photokey 2 is avilable for download. Ive updated to this version (2.1.0000)but am struggling to see much in the way of changes.... I think the individual reset buttons are new (which is a good improvement) but can you tell me what else has changed??

Also having only recently bought version 2, I am miffed to see that photokey batch has been replaced with photokey pro, which includes shadowing... is there any chance this will be coming to basic photokey and if not can i have a cheap upgrade to pro please??

Thanks

Nik

The new version of PhotoKey 2 has these extra features, which were part of the free update:

Contrast Filter - in the filters section
AutoFit - in the Overlay section
Positioning improvements - positioning layers is now floating point.

You can upgrade to PhotoKey 2 Pro for the discounted price of $199 (saving $50).

The Pro exclusive features (batch processing, shadows, depth of field etc) will not be coming to standard PhotoKey 2.

An upgrade should be at most $150.00 as that is the difference between the pro and PK2.

I too would love to upgrade at a more attractive price.

An upgrade will always, always be more than the direct difference in cost between two products. If it were less, then people would just buy the cheap one and then upgrade to save money. And since an upgrade involves transferring the license from one product to the other, and an additional financial transaction, and in the case of a hard-copy upgrade additional packaging and manufacturing costs, those expenses have to be covered in the upgrade cost as well. So any software company in the world that offers upgrades will offer them at the difference in cost between the two products, plus a bit to cover their expenses. It also serves as an encouragement for people to buy the Pro version to begin with, as it is cheaper in the long run that taking the upgrade path.
