How about a plugin with different variations on the moon's cylces? (i.e. Full, first quarter, etc.)

Also, different color variations (the other night, the moon looked deep, almost blood red. Pretty damn cool) biggrin

Or just go to google, click on "pictures" and then type "moon"... You'll gonna find plenty of different moons to play with... :)

i found some moon textures the other day smile could make some plug-ins with 3ds max if this spot hasn't been taken biggrin

ok, i just submitted a basic moon plug-in, i am going to do another one with different lighting to try and achieve the different cycles, but i hope the one i have submitted helps smile
