We're coming up on London's Sci-Fi-London Film Festival again, packed full of seminars, movies and luminaries from the science fiction genre (don't miss China Mieville!). This year FXhomer John Carter (aka director Christian Viel) will be there with his cast to premiere RECON 3 and host a retrospective of the action-packed trilogy. The festival will run from 29 April to 4 May.

Before the festival they're running a 48 Hour Film Challenge, starting on 4 April. If you're going to be in London that weekend and think you can make an awesome SF film to impress Delicatessen director Marc Caro, head over to the official site to register. Let us know if you're going to take part!

You mean the SyFy London Film Festival right? wink

Sounds like a cool event. Good luck to anyone who enters!

I am planning to enter, I have my fingers crossed that I can actually get a cast and crew together to actually pull this thing off.

Careful now, SyFy's legal wing will be sending out the attack lawyers if you keep that kind of thing up.

That said, I (a sci-fi-london minion) did check up on the domain-name availability smile
(still available...)

We've got the top 10 of last year's entrants up over on Dailymotion - there's some rather good ones.

Hell yes!

That extremely compact, highly useless interjection was simply to show my excitement and enthusiasm for the event. I must say, I am slightly nervous as the only other comps I have entered have been small and local, like the 2 Days Later Short film fest, but this- this is in the capital. Exciting yet nerve wracking at the same time.

Hopefully I'l see some other FXHOME 's there
