As some of you will know, for the last week and a half we've been moving into new offices, twice the size of our old ones. The new place allows us to finally fit all our bits and pieces in comfortably and also gives us room to expand as we bring in new people later in the year.

We still need to get some pictures up on the wall, but here are a few glimpses of the new space:

Erm... why do you have New England Patriots foam fingers anyway? Since I live in Maine, I'm pretty accustomed to the fact that everyone are Patriots/Red Sox fans so at first I wasn't surprised at all to see Patriots foam fingers, as I'm quite used to that... but then I realized that you guys don't live in Maine... or New England... or the US. So why do you have a Patriots foam finger... and, is that a Boston Red Sox glass I see sitting next to Tarn (I think that's Tarn)?

Yeah, as a Cape Codder and diehard Sox/Pats/Celtics fan, I noticed the same thing. It's interesting to see Boston team merchandise outside the country, simply because there's hardly any support for these teams anywhere in our own country, outside New England. Maybe their integrity, coupled with success has inspired some global fandom? razz

I'm not joking Atom. I don't want to get off topic and into an argument, but name someone on the team who isn't humble and selfless... and don't even think of saying Tom Brady, because he exemplifies those qualities. I'm not kidding. Or at least point me to where you're drawing your conclusions from, because they're really, really far-fetched. smile Am I right, Jabooza?

Honestly, I personally don't really care for football at all, so I don't really like the Patriots any more or less than any other football team, nor do I know or care about the players' morals. smile

Yes, but you said you live in Maine. Even if you don't care, don't you at least hear only positive things about the Pats' attitudes in local sports segments, stories, etc.? Not that I care though, I'm was just looking for another New Englander's perspective. smile

Heh, Axeman. I think just about everyone in Texas loves the Cowboys like a stepfather loves a stepson's soccer game- loves to hate them when they fail, can't fully connect with them, but sticks it through and goes crazy in adoration when they succeed. biggrin

jawajohnny wrote:

Well, duh. Of course locals are going to praise/defend/cheer their hometown team. That's true for anyone. But look at the national perspective of the Patriots, a football dynasty, in comparison with- why not- the Dallas Cowboys, another football dynasty. There's a pretty big distinction between the two because of differences in integrity and humbleness. And I'm saying this even with T.O. in mind. biggrin

I don't even feel like defending this point, you've obviously got such big delusions of grandeur regarding the Pats, I'll leave it be. We've covered this territory a few times over in the past 5 or so years, no need to reiterate it. Someone, please, explain to jawajohnny what we've beat to death as a consensus time and time over....

Oh, and yeah, Pooky. I was about to point that out too. Nice, Tarn. wink

I think the things are bad for the Cowboys when I hear their name and instantly T.O. pops into my head.

Well, when I hear 'Dallas Cowboys' the word champions or America's Team comes to mind, soooooo.....

But I'm not just from Texas, I'm from Dallas itself, so I'm obviously biased. smile

It is indeed a Boston Red Sox glass. It's my favourite glass! Glad people like the t-shirt. Although really I should have worn my Potential Gamer one for some free advertising (and to give ricam some logo excitement, of course). razz

The Patriot's team motto is "Humble Pie". The only thing they care about is winning, and if they don't, they don't make excuses, they just tell the media they should have played better. None of the players (except maybe Ellis Hobbs) have egos. And they have never made any comments or done anything to make themselves look arrogant, selfish, or whatever. All the star players (Brady, Moss) have sacrificed large contracts, giving them up so the team can sign better players. Sounds like a humble, selfless, and tranquil team to me. Maybe no one has heard of "Patriot Way"?

Enough of that, I promise I won't say anymore. smile That's an awesome shirt, and an even more awesome glass, Tarn. Go Sox. smile
