Making stock footage available to buy as downloads

The title (almost) says it all.
Would you consider making the stock footage available to buy as a download? I was thinking you could offer individual clips rather than the full cd. Speaking for myself I might want a head shot gore effect and would happily pay for that but might not want to pay £29 for fifteen effects when I only need one. You could charge (e.g.) £3-5 per effect depending on complexity.
Just an idea

Individual clips...nah. That's not really a good idea. But available for download? I think that's pretty good, barring some complication I haven't seen.

Are you kidding? If they sold them seperatly they'd make a much better profit. Just as long as the individual footage totalled up to or more than the boxed version otherwise it'd be silly for them to make it so you can buy everything cheaper.
Nice idea though. Would like to see this.

That's why I was thinking £3-5 per clip (longer or more complex ones more expensive for example). If you bought them all separately you'd end up spending £40-50 so it would make sense to buy the cd. I'm sure you would sell a lot of one or two individual clips to people who would otherwise never by a whole cd's worth.

Yeah I think this would be a great idea. FX Home would make a lot of moneyon this and save on shipping costs. Not to mention we'd get them much faster by downloading. I'd deffinately like to see this (in addition to the DVD ones of course).

If you want them as a digital download, you can order the packs from here:http://www.nccinema.ch/
They come as a download only. Though even here, no single clips.

Do you think there is a market for single clips?
