FXhome with regret is pushing back the release date of WPD Lab due to one of our lead programmers being crushed in a freak accident at N3RD (Norwich & Norfolk Nuclear Research Department). At about 0830 GMT Jack Everitt, who was attending a conference, was taken to hospital after hundreds of particles emerged from the test chamber into his face. Paramedics stated that the accident would never have happened if Jack hadn't set the gravity to 2.5.

April 1st 2009 will go down in history as the day England lost one of its best programmers.

WPD Lab was set to incorporate FXhome's new QPDL lattice technology, but this now looks unlikely to be completed.

Mind me but what is WPD?

Sorry about Jack's accident, good luck to fxhome finishing it off without him.

We salute you

Wow, are we sure he is dead? Couldn't the particles have given him some kind of Superhuman ability? April 1st 2009 could go down in history as the day Particle-man was born! RIP Jack and Watching Paint Dry Lab... sad

Wow, I’m sorry to hear that. That’s very unfortunate that this happened. Perhaps you’ll be able to hire another good programmer to complete it? I would say that it would be good to finish it and maybe dedicate it to Jack. Although I am not quite sure what WPD is,I’m sure that he would enjoy that. smile

Good joke guys

I just hope this incident doesn't mean that heavy handed officials from the Health and Safety Executive step in to shut down the facility and stifle the development of Norfolk as a world leader in Nuclear Reseach. After the ravages of bird flu this could cripple the region...

On a brighter note hopefully someone can create a preset so we can all recreate this tragic accident on video - I bet it looked kinda cool as his face lit up with all the particles!

In the realm's of '3D phisics'.....Them particles must have been really heavy at 2.5 times gravity....Bound to do some major damage

You didn't manage to get any audio of his dying screams did you? That would be a good addition to the downloads page.

Jack and I met once when he came to the states at a Comic Con a few years back. The nicest guy I ever met.

I will ponder this moment by watching back to back episodes of Airwolf for the the next 3 days.

In his memory,

Just higlighting an early message for all those who continue to ask about WPD Lab. A long promised program from the team at FX Home but I guess the technology isn't ready yet for this ground breaking software...

Has a nervous system been seen trying to put itself back together yet?

EDIT:

And really guys? Watching Paint Dry Lab is getting pushed back again? The death of a major member of the team can't stop this. Do you think Jack would want the release to be pushed back any more after all the hard work he put in?

Poor old Jack. He felt fear for the last time.

In two years, the photograph is falling to the martian surface.

Now, Jack is putting himself back together.

In three years, he is killing someone. He doesn't know who.

Ten years ago. Jack is eating breakfast, having an existential debate with himself.

The photograph is still falling, two years later.

Nothing ever ends. Especially not the development of Watching Paint Dry Lab.

I'm really hoping this is another April Fools joke.

YouTube turned the players upsidedown.

Today in my school a girl puled the fire alarms a "an April Fools Joke."
I think she got in a lot of trouble.

Woah! I swear, that wasn't me who posted that. Thats retarded. I did come back and see that fxhome was open and my desktop turned on... hmm. But I swear it wasn't me.

That was me this morning. Notice the different IP address.

Edit: Yeah, I just found out that it was my brother and sister (well mys sister used the comp). They said they though it was funny to do it. Apparently the fx home topic was open and they decided to use it when they got home from school and while I was gone. Sorry for the confusion. I'll have to start logging out more often smile

To be honest, I'm glad this happened. FXHome needed to trim the fat anyway, and anything to speed that process along is a blessing. I know it sounds evil and heartless, but I'm glad to see things finally moving in the right direction.

Maybe we could get Jack a cheaper coffin and spend the rest on the bronze effigy? What do you guys think? To be honest, these isn't much left of Jack, a shoebox should be big enough. Come to think of it, if anyone is interested in his remains we could sell them... for a price! All proceeds go towards the "Schwar needs a bronze (maybe even gold) effigy" appeal.

I say put his remains on Ebay! Or you could include a small Jack-fragment with the next 100 purchases - sort of a collector's item for those ordering the VisionLab Complete Bundle.

Is this supposed to be funny, guys? this may be an April Fool's joke, but it may not. And what if it isn't? I figure you ought to be darn ashamed of yourselves. "Ooh what a shame I have to wait for WPD Lab." If this is true, there is more to worry about.
My only question is how did DVstudios little siblings get on your acount as well? Or do you really not have a sense of humor?

I've got a coffin kit in my spare room (no kidding). If you can get agreement from Jack beyond the grave, he's welcome to have it.

crazy LOL

You naughty F****ers....you shall all go straight to bed with no supper and a sore arse !

eek

Right, and im sure i speak for most if not all, you might be able to 'get away with it' and avoid sore botty bedded starvation syndrome if you comply with the following:

1. Say sorry for being so nasty

2. Give poor ol'e jack a payrise, a nice foot rub and a week off to recover from his near death experience - Fully paid

3. SPILL THE BEANS....NOW !

Full complience with the above instructions (we're happy to compromise on item 2 though...LOL) 'might' save you from eternal damnation in the devils oldest and dirtiest jock strap.

Merry Xmas

Are there any estimates on how long it may take to render out one coat of paint?

Is it going to come with an undercoat feature as well?

I'm liking the sound of this lattice technology, is that anything to do with pastry?

Am I one of England best programmers? Or was that an April fools as well?

I totally fell for that, and it really freaked me out. I had a bit of a "Sixth Sense" moment.
